Ronnie is busy working on songs for a new CD that is scheduled for summer 2009 release. Ronnie has been working with old friend and original Grand Dukes guitarist Ivan Appelrouth on some of the new tunes. Ivan is a gifted song writer, he and Ronnie work well together. Ivan has also toured and recorded with Jumpin' Johnny Sansone's original Blues Party  as well as DC's renowned Big Joe and the Dynaflows. Ivan was featured on Lil' Ronnie & the Grand Dukes critically acclaimed first CD 'Too Fast For Conditions'  Ronnie is very excited about the new songs and says that they cover a large landscape of Blues and American roots music. The plan for  the new CD is to feature all original songs but may include a couple of choice covers, you never no what might happen when the tape starts rolling. As usual Ronnie plans on recording analog , Live in the studio. Ronnie is also hoping to have legendary engineer / producer Jerry Hall on board as well.
