CD/Radio News
The new CD, in stores now is produced by their old friend, blues master Anson Funderburgh. It’s clearly their best work to date & having Anson in the producer’s chair was certainly a wise decision. Anson brought with him a wealth of blues experience & an understanding of what the band is about. He certainly helped captured the band as close to 'live' as possible and that’s the only way to fully appreciate this talented band of blues veterans. Following on the footsteps of their critically acclaimed CD, ‘Young & Evil’, the Grand Dukes have certainly raised the bar. This latest effort, 'do what'cha do' consists of 11 original songs written or co-written by Ronnie & guitarist Michael Dutton. The band goes from primitive 1 chord blues romps, Chicago harmonica blues to uptown West Cost influenced blues, as well as a dose of contemporary style for good measure, "traditional , yet modern & vital" The CD is distributed in the US by Burnside Distribution.
